Your page Title and the page Meta title:<\/h3>\n

The page or post title is one of the key factors for page ranking and should be given the care and attention it deserves. Your page title tags show up in SERPs or Search Engine Result Pages. Google and other search engines use the title tag as their search results title for that page.<\/p>\n

Every page on your site should have its own unique title tag. It should start with a relevant keyword whenever possible. Don\u2019t put your company name in the title tag. The keywords should be chosen as very relevant to your post topic, and always included in the title and also a few times in the post body. When chosing your keywords, firstly choose one “Focus Keyword” and a couple related keywords.<\/p>\n

Note that we are talking about ‘a keyword’ usually being a short phrase, not usually just one word.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look at an example. If your main keyword is ‘blue jeans’ your title could be \u201cBlue jeans at discounted prices\u201d and your first paragraph of your content could start with something like, \u201cBlue jeans are comfortable and rugged and now you can buy them at discounted prices…\u201d<\/p>\n

Try to avoid stop words, which are words that break up your keywords. For example, blue discount jeans. In this case, ‘discount’ would be a stop word and should not be between the words of your actual phrase.<\/p>\n

Your Meta description:<\/h3>\n

In your meta description you need to provide a short and concise summary of what your post is all about. Search engines often display the meta description with your title in the search result pages. Your focus keyword should also be included, but the description wording should flow and be clearly readable, do not use the old way of just a comma separated keyword list.<\/p>\n

Keywords and their use in the post body:
\nAs mentioned above, you will usually have one or more keywords, but the one will be the focus keyword and the rest will be secondary. The focus keyword is the one that you must include in your post title, meta tittle and in the meta description.<\/p>\n

In the actual post body, you should try to include the focus keyword at least 4-5 times, sometimes more if the post is a long one, but do not overdo it. Always make sure they aren’t stuffed in, they must be part of the flow, and approprietly making sense.<\/p>\n

The other keywords would normally only be mentioned once or twice each.<\/p>\n

Correct gramma and spelling:<\/h3>\n

Always make sure your spelling and gramma are first class. The spelling part can be difficult with different spelling of many words in different countries. The obvious example is English USA and English UK (or Australian) spell many words differently.
\nYou should choose one and stick with it throughout your whole website.<\/p>\n

English US seems to be the norm for the web.<\/p>\n

Readability:<\/h3>\n

Readability is something that different people have different opinions on.<\/p>\n
